In these Self-Reflection programs, we seek to learn together about connecting with the deeper impulses that fuel our commitments to working with people in conflict -- such as compassion and the search for greater self understanding and mutual understanding. We also learn about dealing with the tendencies that can get in the way, such as judgmentalness, anger and the desire for control, and what underlies these. While an appreciation for the deeper motivations, emotions and currents that underlie our work with conflict has always been a part of the Center’s approach, we have been exploring and integrating this dimension more and more into our work with conflict. Mediation Intensive Training, Northern California, October 2-6 2013

The Mediation Intensive Training provides both experienced mediators and those new to the field with the perspective and skills necessary to work within the Center’s model of mediation. Participants learn what it takes to shift from a stance of advocacy to one of mediation – for professionals and parties alike.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The program is open to attorneys as well as other professionals working to integrate the principles of mediation into their practice. Price: $1,350.00 Private room, shared room, and commuter/facilities fees are $650, $450, and $200, respectively, for the duration of the training. Includes 3 daily meals. 2013 Mediation Intensive Trainings--East and West Coast
Space is still available in our popular Mediation Intensive Training programs. The Mediation Intensive Training is a multi-day program that provides both experienced mediators and those new to the field with the perspective and skills necessary to work within the Center’s model of mediation. The next East Coast Mediation Intensive Training will take place from October 23, 2013 through October 27, 2013 one hour north of New York City. The next West Coast Mediation Intensive Training will take place at beautiful Green Gulch Farm in Muir Beach, CA from October 2, 2013 until October 6, 2013.
